Located in downtown Panama City, the Cook Motor Company had built this building in the 1930s following a devastating fire. The original dealership was called the Panama City Motor Company but was declared a total loss after an explosion caused a fire and ruined the storefront.
This building still stands today and had a large showroom, office for the employees and even a shop to repair vehicles. The dealership sold cars manufactured by Ford.
After extensive expansion the dealership moved and since then the building has changed ownership and been home to many different businesses over the past years.
The plaque located on the front facade of the building still gives a glimpse of what was once a booming business in downtown Panama City.
Thanks for reading and as always, keep on truckin’!
