With paintings updated daily, the Graffiti Bridge in Pensacola is an iconic landmark for locals and tourists. Those that make a journey to this artistic place bring with them paint and some inspiration to mark their unique spin on the art covering the bridge.
The bridge was built in 1888 for passing railway cars over 17th street. Known for its low archway the bridge has made the news several times when large trucks or trailers have ran into the 10’8″ clearance.
Today you may find people painting their names, places their from, motivational sayings or just about anything sprawled across the bridge. So if you are visiting the Pensacola area, why not venture just a short drive from downtown to check a very unique artistic place in the city.
You can easily park at the public boat ramp right in front of the bridge. Check out the map below to see the location of the Graffiti Bridge. Do watch for traffic as the road and above rail lines are fully operational.
