Tucked away in a small community of Sunny Hills, Florida lies the secluded area of Litard Log Lake. This lake is hidden in a rural area of Washington County, about 20 miles south of I-10 by Chipley.
The beautiful feature of this lake is that it is very unknown by people passing by. If you are adventurous and a few bumps in the road don’t bother you, this is a very scenic place to visit.
William Dallas Finch Landing at Litard Log Lake provides a boat ramp for launching your aquatic vessel. The dock that extends out over the water creates a place for fishing even if you do not have a boat. If you do plan on fishing you will still need a fishing license to do so.
The beauty of this lake can be seem from the photo above. Surrounded by cypress trees and pines draped in Spanish moss, you feel as though you are in classic yet natural Florida.
If you are interested in having a picnic or small event, there is plenty of parking available even with handicap spaces as well as a nice covered pavilion with picnic tables. Also nearby is a restroom facility with running water and a paved sidewalk for easy accessibility.
Camping is also an option from this park. There is a huge open space for multiple tents or campers as well as a pit for starting a campfire. The entire camping area overlooks the park from a hill (next to where the Miata is parked in the photo above).
The address of the park is located at 1844 Litard Log Road, Chipley, Fl 32428.
